Savior Hospice & Palliative Care is locally and family owned. Our goal is to “Make Every Moment Matter,” which has been at the heart of our business and family values for over 6 years.

Facing end of life challenges can sometimes be very daunting, which is why our passion to walk alongside our patients and their families is at the very heart of what we do. Also, because we are all different, we will craft an individual plan of care that meets all your needs. We bring innovative and creative solutions that we have gained over our many years of experience, which helps us provide dignified and compassionate care that is second to none.

Our Team

One Team for You

Living with a serious illness or caring for a loved one can be one of life’s most challenging times. You need experts who have been there for other families countless times, providing experience, guidance and quality care.

Savior Hospice & Palliative Care offers you exactly the right expertise to meet your health care needs and to help you handle the activities of everyday living. Our team of over 70 professionals can help you cope with medical, physical, emotional and spiritual issues that serious illness brings. We listen to the challenges you face and care about how you want to be treated. We are all on one team providing unsurpassed hospice and palliative care.

 

Our hospice care team is a special group of over 70 professionals, including:

  • Medical Director/Nurse Practitioners: Our medical directors and nurse practitioners are available to make home visits and will work closely with your primary care physician to address your needs. They are responsible for the medical management of the patient’s care.
  • Registered Nurses: Our licensed hospice nurses are specially trained in pain and symptom management. They work to identify patient care needs, arrange for services, supplies and medications and are available to make visits 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)/Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNA) – Our CNAs provide loving, daily non-medical care and companionship with the goal of maintaining our patients’ dignity and personal hygiene while providing much needed emotional support.
  • Social Workers: Our professional social workers help patients and loved ones by identifying community resources, assist with final arrangements and provide emotional and psychological support.
  • Chaplains: Our nondenominational chaplains provide support for patients and their loves ones in a manner that respects and honors the patient’s wishes, religious or spiritual traditions and cultural rituals.
  • Volunteers: Our trained and certified volunteers are available to assist patients and their loved ones with things like errands, companionship and brief respite periods.
  • Bereavement Counselors: Our bereavement counselors offer support to grieving families and loved ones through mailings, one-on-one counseling and group meetings. Bereavement Support services are available to the community at no charge.
  • Rehabilitative Therapists: Provided under arrangement with a Medicare certified agency, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language therapy are available for patients that would benefit from such therapy.

Families with Veterans and/or Surviving Spouses of Veterans that are in need of long-term care services may  be able to qualify for a tax-free benefit from the VA. Formerly called Aid & Attendance the VA Pension has a value to Veterans of just over $1,900 per month for 2021 and if married this benefit can be up to $2,295 per month. Surviving Spouses are eligible for up to $1,244 per month for 2021.
